Who runs the joint?

The short answer is: Drew McLellan, award-winning agency owner, national speaker, author, book editor, AdAge ranked blogger and facilitator.  Drew is often found quoted in the pages of the New York Times, Entrepreneur Magazine, Fortune Small Business and the Wall Street Journal called his blog “one of 10 blogs every entrepreneur should read.”

But of course, there’s always more to the story.

In 1995, Dave Wood sold his agency in Wisconsin and launched Agency Management Roundtable (AMR).  Over the past almost 20 years, Dave built up the business and as a result, helped many agencies stand strong through several recessions, business lows and life’s challenges.

In 2009, Dave began looking for the exact person to succeed him at AMR.  He quickly decided there was one right choice.  A long-time AMR network member who proved that he could run a successful agency but even more important — a good businessman, leader and teacher.  Dave approached Drew and the two of them began working on AMR together, co-leading workshops, rewriting content and supporting the networks.

It was the perfect next step for Drew, who had been consulting with agencies and speaking at their professional associations, et cetera, for years.  Dave Wood handed the keys to the car to Drew in mid-2012 and is happily fishing, golfing and perfecting his photography.
